Windows Defender, or any other protection application (Avast, Avira, Bitdefender, Comodo, ESET, Kaspersky, McAfee, Norton, etc.) must be unprotected
before attaching (or unzipping) the ISO.
Keep it that way until the end of the activation, then you can turn it back on. The former is not a recommendation but a requirement.

If you don't do as I described, don't be surprised that something is not working properly.

Installation:
- Install the ISO file.*3
- Run Setup.exe (as administrator).
- By default, Excel, Word and Hungarian are selected.*4 You can configure the installation individually, you can select all.*5 Only one language can be selected at
a time.
- Click on Install Office and wait for the installation to complete.*6

Activation (legal):
- Follow the instructions after the first startup. You must be connected to a Microsoft account or enter a key.

Activation (non-legal):
- Launch any Office application you have installed, then close it.
- In the Utilities and Settings tab (Setup.exe), select Office reactivation task, wait a few seconds, then click Activate Office and wait for the activation to
complete.*7 *8 *9

This activation mode does not affect any other licenses on the operating system (including Windows itself).

If you have previously installed Office on your operating system, you may have problems with the current installation. In this case, you can try a forced
removal of Office (Force Remove Office button).

Installed Office and illegal activation are independent issues. So if you already have an installed (older) Office that has expired activation, there is no need to
delete the existing one and install a new one.
Run the installer, but only for the activation. Install a new Office if you really want a new Office.

All KMS activations are valid for 180 days. The purpose of the Office reactivation task is precisely to avoid having to manually reactivate Office. KMS activation
can be "triggered" by a new Office update at any time. In this case, it must be activated in the same way as after installation. Setup.exe (17.5 MB) can be

If you forgot to install something and you run the installer again, you will have to select again all the items you installed before. Otherwise, these items will be
uninstalled by the installer.

*1 Regardless, it will be considered as malicious by security applications and handled accordingly (quarantine or immediate deletion).
*2 Freshly installed Windows 11, for example, will turn itself off twice after a few seconds, so you have to turn it off a total of three times in a row to keep it that way.
*3 Strange errors may occur when running unpacked. Mounting: run the ISO in Windows Explorer and the contents will appear on a virtual optical drive.
Of course, an external mount can be used.
*4 Any changes to the installer will result in the Channel being changed to Office 2021 Perpetual Enterprise. This should always be set to CurrentPreview
(Office Insider SLOW).
*5 The Single Products section should be modified if Project and/or Visio is required. Teams cannot be installed with this installer. Even though it is otherwise
an optional item.
*6 The main window of the installer will close for the duration of the installation, but will open as soon as the installation is complete. Do not close it at the end
of the installation either, as you will need it for non-legal activation.
*7 KMS activation is completely independent of Office, it is tied to Windows (but not the same as the Windows activation part). In other words, you do not
need to perform the activation again after a possible reinstallation of Office.
*8 Sometimes the activation is "Input error: Must specify script file." error fails. I do not know the reason, but in this case another activator is needed.
*9 The Online KMS activation mode is selected by default, but this requires an internet connection. Without an internet connection, this must be disabled.
